For clarification is that a "1000w speaker system with subwoofer - 28.00"

i just checked that out on pricewatch. go to www.pricewatch.com and click on multimedia. i dont understand how they advertise as 1000watts. some of the so called 1000w speaker sets range from 2 to 9watts per satellite and 12 to 18watts for the subwoofer.

Given the nominal requirements for Mame computers, some of the cheaper SFF computers are becoming a nice option. By utilizing the SFF, it is easy to place the computer in the cabinet and remove it with little difficulty. Plus, it keeps the inside of the machine nice and clean.

i got everything from www.pricewatch.com , its a site that links to other sites with great deals. you want a harddrive? click on harddrives it lists all the sizes and the lowest price offered for that size, you click on the size and go to a site selling them. i ended up ordering those parts from 6 different companies. but the end result was much cheaper then ordering from any 1 site. for a lot of deals on pricewatch they include free shipping or very cheap shipping like 4$. so youre not getting burned from ordering from a lot of different people.

I just ordered a bunch of parts for a round robin upgrading session at my house.  Most of the leftovers will end up in my MAME machine.

This is the order I placed with MWave.com...

Abit IS7-E motherboard (Intel 865PE chipset)
Shuttle AV49PN motherboard (VIA PT800 chipset)
1GB (2x512) DDR400 ram
256M DDR266 ram
P4 2.4C CPU (800FSB)
P4 2.8B CPU (533FSB)

I paid $660.96 total (includes 3-day fedex shipping)

My current computer...
ASUS P4S533
1.6B P4 (400FSB)
768M DDR266 memory (128 + 128 + 512)

When I'm done, I'll have 3 computers...

mine: Abit IS7-E, 2.4C, 1GB DDR4000 (2 x 512)
girlfriend: Shuttle AV49PN, 1.6B, 512M DDR266
MAME: ASUS P4S533, 2.8B, 512M DDR266 (128 + 128 + 256)

I think a P4 2.8B will be more than enough for my MAME needs for quite some time.

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Intel Core i7-4790K @ 4.8GHz

Just a side note from personal experience, i have in the past ordered various things from vendors on pricewatch with mixed results.  Some well known vendors like newegg and zipzoomfly have stuff listed on pricewatch, but there are also alot of really crappy vendors that post too. Price watch is nothing more then a place for online vendors to post their product prices, nothing more. Pricewatch in no way polices  the vendors and as such there is no gurantee that the vendor you select is honest  or will deliver what is promised in their add.

To find out whether a reseller has a good standing in the community of online vendors you can go to http://www.resellerratings.com/ and do a search for the vendor you are thinking about purchasing from and see how many people have reviewed them.  The great thing about that site is that if you havn't purchased from the particular vendor, then you cannot post a comment about them as it requires a number from the transaction you made with the vendor, so as to keep people from company bashing without having bought from them.
After  all the research i did on some of the companies listed on PRICEWATCH i decided it was time to find one really good online vendor to purchase from.  I decided on www.newegg.com   In my oppinion, they have about the cheapest prices on stuff online that you are going to find. Period!  Most of their hot deals give free fed-ex shipping and from california to indiana it NEVER takes more then 2 days to get my stuff. THATS AWESOME!   Neweggs defective return policy is right on par too!  I had a new motherboard within the week.
Try doing a search on that ratings site for BEST BUY and see what people say.  LOL.  Their score SUCKS  BAD. lol.
Some of the bad experiences from price watch vendors  i had  included the following:
1) Wrong item shipped to me and was of lesser value then i paid for and the company never did exchange or refund money.
2) took 2-4 weeks to send me a replacement for an item
3)took my money and i never heard from them again.  The last i knew i the credit card company was still trying to sort it out .

So, long story short, LIVE AND BUY by reseller ratings!!!  I have built 15 complete computer systems with all parts bought from newegg over the last 4 months and i had to have 1 item exchanged and like i said it was back to me within the week.   I Don't care what vendor you buy from, whether it is at a best buy store or a vendor online, sometimes you are just going to get unlucky and receive a bad item. This doesn't make a company bad because the product was bad. Sometimes it just happens.  How that company makes it right is to me what makes ALL the difference on whether i do business with them again and like i have said several times, NEWEGG has been steady and true!  Most likely i will buy all of my stuff from newegg in the future, unless something really screams gotta have it, hehe.

Hope this advice gives someone some food for thought. Getting screwed over online purchases just plain out SUCKS and with a little guidance and wisdom you can avoid most if not all of the pitfalls of online purchases.

Good luck and stay.........

I have to agree with Groovy. I have ordered several times from newegg and they have always been good. The prices are some of the best. I also watch the Sunday paper for office max and office depot adds. They often have great rebates. One of them had a WD 80 gig hard drive for $20 after rebates! I didn't get one but I did think about it. If you get screwed once from a company it can offset many of the good transactions. Good luck.

The problem i have with rebates is that its a crappy gimmick to get your personal information!   Yea you may save a little money, but the companies have basically just paid for your mailing address.....shocker...they sell that information to other companies or mailing lists!       Although i have been tempted as well to jump on the rebate band wagon when best buy has offered western digital hard drives  that are 80 gig.  for 65.00, i just couldn't bring myself to do it.
Not to mention the fact that rebates can take up to 10 weeks sometimes to get back or if your really unlucky, you may NEVER get that supposed rebate at all.  Usually it takes newegg about 1-2 months maybe a shorter time frame to catch up to the prices of the rebates, but they usually come close.
Imho, rebates SUCK and are just another way we can get junk mail or phone calls that are unwanted. :P

groovy~

rebates do kinda suck plus you have to have the money for it right then. I bought a 80GB Maxtor HD at radioshack on sale for 80$ + a 25$ rebate. still havent got the rebate check yet but it was a pretty good price anyway 1 $ per gig hehe

oh and my I-Pac came today woot! it only took 4 days from when i ordered it from the UK to here. pretty fast shipping
