Secretly PBJ I do agree with you, it is what it is, and the pink wash is something I could just let pass on this particular build, However that doesn't really help out the next guy who is all "WTH is this pink?) and we are at a good point to give it at least 1 more shot at better before we go to paint...So after some research, (taking note there are no reviews I could find anywhere) The ONLY guy talking about color and the one we are going to review is https://pinballdecals.eu/shop/the-getaway-high-speed-ii-pinball-cabinet-decals-set/ ...They don't mention screened one might notice right out of the gate, (most likely inkjet) but seems to at least acknowledge the color problem ...we shall check it out.

OMG...You seem on top of things for owning that machine for such a short time and that is red, you can see the difference, The little square box around the shifter lining up square without clipping the Getaway on the bottom might be the only issue I would be worried about (but most likely not a issue)... as for Jenn I already wrote the check, The website was all in German, and had to use Google translator to navigate, and didn't sleep all night worring about customs, but so far all good.

Decal update...Apparently these are made to order, and not some sit around old sticker fly by night outfit, on cheap vinyl with faded ink.  After only a week they are in the mail!, (Slovenia post) I am thinking that is customs, So far I am liking these guys, and a little excited.

Decals... Nothing, still sitting wherever they are, after over a month, a week to print 3 weeks or so to not ship, or even update. Considerably less excited, Thinking stupid and or lazy have factored into this. Will go back to only buying American again from here on out given the choice, or just sending Malenco file down to print (still may have to, We shall see) ...However, Jennifer has other things to do on this project, So while they sit around staring at that box with some confused look, I shall just get back to work...Last update on this matter, Buyer beware.

My printer usually gets stuff into my hands in about a week.   Im not sure I even want to repair the body and prep for art. I kinda like "players condition"  ; my T2 has the WORST body of all my machines.

I cant blame you, That machine of yours seems to be in relatively nice condition for its age. I would keep a eye on the bottom however, My project machine is about to collapse in on itself because the bottom let go and lost structure. Yes I wouldn't have believed it possible either, Yay for Williams quality control I guess :applaud:(Sarcasm)...The corners apparently get weak too, but those heavy duty leg plates seem to have slowed that down.

Easy but expensive fix, replacing my burnt out beacon motor. Fixing this and the supercharger are what make the game fun.

I know Jenn said no more updates on the stickers....But they showed up today! 8), Apparently the tracking was just never updated during its travels. So all is well with the world, About a month start to finish...Give me a couple days and we shall check them out.

Good news and bad...The decals are considerably more red, but are not screened, or do they have transfer paper on them, consequently there are light scratches on them from the packing tube, not a deal breaker for this however since we are going to clear them again and that will never be noticed, since we did everything right the first time this wont be that bad. Burn the clear down with 220grit and just erase them...And so it begins.

We got no secrets around here friend, make some posts and you will be in like Flynn (And welcome ;))....Bad news today concerning this project however, My chrome shop apparently closed its doors last month and drained the tanks this week. And everybody's stuff  was mixed together pushed through, odds of getting all my parts back are quite slim even if they did make it into the tanks, and needless to say some of that is quite hard to find as OEM if even at all. Not happy :-\, ...The circuit board tin went back to the zink tank guy for a redo, those scratches finally bothered me over coffee one morning... Over the next few days Jenn will be repainting the back box in preparation of the new art, We shall also paint the chrome bolt heads, (Yes you can paint chrome with reliability to you skeptics) But it should be noted as not an essential skill for building arcade machines here in the real world, it is really tedious and a little spendy, but if anyone is curious how to do it speak up and I will take some pics for you guys and go through it quickly (or just show them when done)...That is the update for now. 8)

Spinning jig for the bolts (Yes made of hardwood) but that is necessary for the process, there are also 26 3x5 hardwood receiver plates (1 for each bolt) that fit into the top (only 1 is shown)...

Finally blasted, etched and painted, And OMG. the pic does not do this justice, because they are absolutely gorgeous  8)...*Update on chrome, Apparently they got it all sorted out, and at least the hard to find pieces sound as if they are there, But most likely good to go, and the circuit board panel is in the strip tank, about to get nickle plate this time (should be quite special ::))...**And fun story before I go, Jenni was all worried about that possible missing chrome, so went rummaging for spare parts in my junk piles for potential replacements, and found a Fluke multimeter/ with temp sensor  I didn't even know I had...Dance, Dance,

And final peel the tape off while still wet.  That's kind of tricky, but a necessary skill to learn, If you don't do it now the tape will glue to the cab when its dry and it would be a real mess...And finally hang it to dry and cure out.

That checkpoint just happened one day (long story) And from what I know about it the whole world hardly even remembers it. But that DMD, is actually quite odd sized as compared to modern games, and OMG, I can only imagine what you had to do to pull that off...Looks really nice Malenco

It's a half sized dmd, like TMNT and hook.  There's actually 2 versions of checkpoint, one with segment led scoring and the other with the mini dmd.

I think it's a pretty fun pin and remain jelly you have one.
