Crystal castles and Ultrastik

When I go up and down a ramp it will go off to the left any time I hit an L junction.
I've tried all sorts of tweaks to the analog settings in MAME and deadzones settings etc
Wondered if anyone uses a joystick_map in the MAME ini to make it more playable?

Just tested the joystick version of CC and played it using the keys.
It still goes left on an L junction when you're moving up or down and are pushing those keys. Weird.
Never played it with a trackball but looks like it's meant to play that way.
