Chuff time! The gameroom gets a few updates.
Earlier this year, I added a foosball table to my game room. In the 90's, I played competitive foosball. Yes it's a thing. Or rather, it was. Back in the day, I'd play in leagues and I'd travel to tournaments and play. We always played Tornado tables and for the most part, that's still the table of choice in the States. This is a late 90's Tornado coin-op model. I picked it up for $500 and put another couple hundred into it to bring it up to current tournament standards. All in all, it was a pretty good deal.
Technically I bought this in late 2018 (December 23rd), and I finished working on it 2019. I've already went and played a couple tournaments. I did terrible and I'm just shocked at the lack of people playing. Back when I played, you could find tables just about anywhere. now I can only think of 2 places in the St. Louis area that even have a table.
The last addition was the stools. I found the stools for $5. They are great. There is actually a small walk way between the table and chairs, it's not as crowded as I think the picture makes it look.
I think this year I'll add a couple more small games and spend some time this winter playing.
