Saw this on ebay. I had never seen one like it before and wondered if anyone has ever used one of these and if so, what was the experience?
thanks,

Not many teeth.  I but it doesn't cut as smoothly as a regular one.

Looks like it would work great on plexi--maybe thin metal, but take forever and a lifetime for wood.  Was it 1up or frosty that created their own version of this for plexi cutting??--somebody here did it I know that much (and that ISN'T much :-[)
its better to not post and be thought a fool, then to whip out your keyboard and remove all doubt...

I used one of these for my Trackball holes and it worked really well.

{edit: It was in a drill press.  Not sure how it would perform in a hand drill!}

I have a similar circle cutter as well.  They work very well and cut very smooth holes.

They work best in a drill press at slow speeds.

I would say that using it in a hand drill is a little tricky though.  If you do not keep the drill exactly straight as you are cutting the hole, it will jam and try to twist the drill out of your hand. That is not good for your wrist!

Real Life.  Still a poor substitute for video games!

I've heard of people using forstner bits and hole saws... It's my experience that a plain old boring bit works the best. I get a nice clean cut every time - through MDF or plexiglass. And it's a fraction of the cost of these other bits.

Yeah but you can't drill a 3" hole with a boring bit.
