Nestopia control config

Hi

So after i played around and found not to mess with Mednafen config file, i am messing around with Nestopia config file.
This time, because the standard file that comes with GroovyArcade does not work for me.
I get the directions Up,Down,Left,Right for player 1 but that is it.
I get no response for A,B , START or SELECT needed for SNES games.

Strange because i got a jamma connector with J-PAC and the standard codes are :

1 B1   L-ctrl   
1 B2   L-alt   
1 B3   space   
1 B.4 L-shift   
1 B5   Z   
1 B6   X   
1 B7   C   
1 B8   V   
Start 1   1   
Start 2   2

And in Nestopia file nstcontrols i have :

P1UP      _UP
P1DN      _DOWN
P1LT      _LEFT
P1RT      _RIGHT
P1A      _LCTRL
P1B      _LALT
P1START      1
P1SELECT      2

So....Start and Select should be keys 1 and 2, wich are mapped standard to START1 and START2 (i have buttons for this in my cabinet).

Also...when hitting ESCAPE (in a usb keyboard) instead of exiting to ADVMenu, i get a menu that i have to choose FILE>EXIT with the mouse. How can i EXIT directly into ADVMenu again ?
