Here is the auction I guess you are talking about:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3271903037&category=13718

I'll be in for a couple at that price, anyone else?

Sign me up for 3, maybe 4.
Does anyone happen to have $230?  I don't.

We'll definitly have to come up with a fair way of deciding who gets what if we actually do this though as some of them may be in better condition than others.

How about this, the person who actually purchases them numbers them from 1-20, then the others pick numbers and they get what they get, sounds pretty fair to me as long as the main buyer is honest.

Now that I think about it, I'm willing to be the buyer, but, I'm gonna need people to send me the money (cuz I'm poor).
Here's what I'm thinkin: If you wan't one, or more, send me let's say maybe $15,  I think $4 should be enough to ship one of these things (I say $4 because I'm including $1 for each TB to help make up for the $35 shipping to me)

I don't know, let me know what you think.  This sounds like a good idea to me, but I also haven't slept in a while so, maybe it's not all that great.

If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen

Did you also notice he had repair kits for sale as welll:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=13718&item=3271919950

I have the money, but would need to make sure the others go pretty quick.  I would be keeping 3 of them.

I bought his last lot of 20 trackballs.  Some are great, some are rough, all need cleaning.

I'll be selling them in a bit, once I clean them all.

I'm not sure yet.  Brand new Imperials go for $85.  However, these aren't new.  I'm in the process of cleaning them now.  You don't want to know what's in trackballs that were in a bar.

I'm stripping each one down.  Washing down the plastic and ball with detergent and drying.  Removing the bearings and flushing them to remove the old lubricant and any rust/dirt.  Re-lubing with 3-In-One oil.  Reassembling.  I'm building a harness to test each ball, but haven't had a lot of time to work on it.  I'll post when I know more.

I would be willing to throw in 30-40 bucks to get at least one decent trackball and one beater that I could work on.  I dont really have 335 bucks to throw at it though (I make like 350 every 2 weeks) so if a couple people wanted to get start a pool I would be interested.

Sounds like Peale is going to have some soon. Maybe if people nag him about giving him money he'll get around to it sooner and have them cleaned and tested for a fair price.

I can tell you for sure that Imperials work with the Optipac.  I've wired up 3 cp's that way.

Eh?  From their website:

IMP 47-4150   3" TRACKBALL ASSY   $85.95

Edit: I got the price from Betson Imperial, @ http://www.betson.com.  Checking the Wico site I see you're correct.  Wico part # 22-2197, I believe?

Yup, that part number sounds about right.  I really should have just bought a brand new trackball instead of fixing up my ebay special, I spent far more.  Since you bought so many you can probably make plenty of decent ones with the best parts.

Actually they're in great shape.  Some of them I would swear were new out of the box.  Some have a tiny bit of wear.  There was this one, though, that must have been in a bar in Hell.  That one is not for sale.

Golden Tee.

Cleaned three more up tonight.  One had a slight crack in where the bearing meets the shell.  I fixed it, the repair should hold, but it's only $29 because of this.
