Artwork for UAII
« on: February 05, 2004, 11:55:47 am »
Anyone know a good place for getting side art printed that fits the Ultimate Arcade II Plans? The full side art size is 30.25" x 55.75"

I've contacted customarcadegraphix.com, but they claim they're limited to 17.5x30. Emdkay.net and mamemarquees.com all seem to have similar size restrictions. I'm in Canada, and Kinkos doesn't exist here....

I just had some AMAZING work done by Frosty - (Side note - for those who are artistically challenged like me, Frosty does great work - more than worth the money!!!) but it looks like it might be tough to get something this size printed.

Thanks for the help.

I guess I missed that size restriction on cag.com & emdkay. So where do you get larger side art printed? I guess I need to know this too, I'm planning mine to be in the the 20x40 range.

Apparently CAG is working on getting a new system in place for printing these larger sizes, but it won't be ready for "At least a couple of months" and there seemed to be some uncertainty as to whether or not they were even going to be able to do it at all.

Turns out mamemarquees.com can do it, but they charge $95/pair because of the size. Right now it doesn't look like I have any choice, so that's who I'll go with.

Yikes! At that price I may scale mine down a bit. Let us know how they look if you order from them.

that's actually not that bad.. Oversized CPO's like mine go for like $80 to $85 (I forget the exact price) at classicarcadegrafix.com..

$95 a pair is great.

Apparently nipsmg was right... $95 was a great price. In fact, they came back and said that given the size they were wrong and going to have to raise the price to $210..

Ug.

Yes, I know it is a lot of money... but it is 3.6x my normal Side Art, and the vinyl/ink/wear&tear on my not "cheap inkjet" printer and paypal fees add up...

This is the largest side art I have ever done, so it was difficult to price out.  I have a little better idea now and can give a little better price.  Here it is by the way, it should ship out on Monday.  My kids are getting a kick out of it :)!

Scotp, that looks amazing, sometimes things can seem like a lot of cash, but when it comes to the "end result" and how well it pulls everything together and that it makes the cabinet a work of art and not just a box in your wreckroom, that extra cash is WORTH it! As soon as I finish my cabinet and get my files from Frosty, not that I'm rushin you Frosty, I still have plenty I HAVE to do, I'll be looking you up. Is your vinyle tough enought for a CPO or would you recommend a plexi overlay?
