JVL Vortex note reader/bill acceptor for South African Notes
« on: April 21, 2018, 10:29:53 am »
Good day to everyone.

I stay in South Africa. I have a JVL Vortex but I can't use the note reader. According to JVL head office they don't support the upgrade of software for the new South African notes. So my question is. What can I do? What about if I use another note reader. What type of note reader is it? MDB? Exect? I need it to work with a note reader. Any advice would be appreciated.

the easiest way to do this is to contact the company who make the original reader directly (ICT or coinco or whoever) and tell them the model what you have in the JVL now... and they will match you up with a african money acceptor of the same designation.

otherwise, a "Pulse" type bill acceptor could be made to work with this system with some modification... but if you are inexperienced, it may be better to go the first way i mention.
