Does it matter which way Happ Ultimate Joystick is mounted?

I am almost ready to mount the joysticks and buttons onto my control panel (the swiss cheese one!)

I notice the Happ Ulimate joysticks are not symetrical on all sides.  Depending on how you mount the joystick, you can mount it so that it is longer horizontally, or longer vertically.

In an effort to save space on my already narrow control panel, i decided that I want to mount it so that it is longer vertically and shorter horizontally.

I have already drilled the holes but not yet fully mounted yet.  Does it matter which orientation I mount the joysticks?

I figure it does not matter as long as I connect the wires properly to the Ultimarc IPAC am will be using.  Any input on this would be greatly appreciated!

Orientation does not matter as long as you wire "up" to "up" etc.
