controller/mouse id’s - need help
« on: February 04, 2018, 06:24:45 pm »
hey guys, i ran mame -v to get all of my controller ids but i have so many things plugged into this machine, i don’t know which is which.

i’d like to create the controls cfg file so that mame remaps controls based on id but i have no idea how to identify what is what.

There’s 2 ways.

You can go into device manager and search through each devices properties for its ID.

Or you can use a program (name I can’t recall) that shows the device ID’s of everything plugged in and what it is.
Some things are non descriptive and you will need to unplug them to see what disappears.
