Just set them up in windows to work, then use them in mame as analog joystics.
If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen

I bought the regular sidewinder wheel. Installed it and it works fine. Just add the "Joystick     1" to the mame.ini file. It works good however you must set up the wheel in each driving game for the first time.

Also, you need to adjust the sensitivity for each game. Doesnt take too long. Pole position works good... :) I have to work on the settings for Turbo. However I cannot get my Cruising to work. I dunno. It runs way to slow even after messing with framerates.

Chirsindfw, Cruising needs about a 4Ghz machine to work correctly.  The closest fix is enabling cheat mode and underclocking CPU 1 AFTER the initial CPU testing phase.

Sadly, the N64 port even has problems under Project 64, etc.

Crusin probably won't even run properly on a 4 gig processor.  The sound chip is THAT intensive.

Pricewatch now shows it for $24.99 shipped, I just didn't notice that package2you.com is the same as tigersurplus.

The brick&mortar circuit city wants $39.99 for it, but I might go there and see it in person before deciding.

Thanks!!!

Also if you add it to your shopping cart, it's not in stock so you can't order it (A lot of items on that site are like that)... ???

Another good option is the 10buck RS wheel from Act-labs.

Good looking and great little wheel with pedals.  Shipping was 15 bucks btw.

Last... I got it working on a PC with the playstation default pluging -> converter -> PC and it works great.  And to my dreamcast through the dreamcast specific plugin... I couldn't find the direct PC cartridge anywhere (there was 1 I bought on ebay that wasn't for a game card... but a very specialized version that is completely outdated and impossible to find).... So go with the PS -> PC usb connector.

Justdeals has the pedals as well, but it is re-conditioned.
