help deciding on cab theme...

ive got the pushbuttons and stuff on order.  im keeping with the blue and black pushbuttons with a blue translucent trackball that i will light up.  here is a pic of my cab that will be called the Mamestrosity.  any thoughts of a good theme for this cab?  mainly im talking about the marquee and cp overlay, but also any ideas you have about a theme would be good.  i was thinking of having the marquee with the words Mamestrosity on it and maybe in the middle, and large character kinda with his arms open.....you know, like a "powerful" type of theme.  what do you guys think?

How about a classic movie monsters theme? Frankenstein, Wolf Man, Creature from the Black Lagoon, Dracula, etc, etc...

How about something with Atlas, holdingup the name or picture of your cab. See pic.

Considering that Mamestrocity comes from the word "Monstrocity" I would also be leaning toward a "Monster" theme.  Think classic monster movies.

Exactly. You can draw a lot of inspiration from vintage movie posters.

wow thanks for all the great ideas!  i dont think im down with the monster theme, even though it derives from that.  i want to keep with the arcade images if anything.  i was thinking like a really powerful cool looking xmen/street figther/super hero dude in the middle of this title with crazy flashy graphics coming from the middle.  what do you guys think about that?  i think thats the direction i want to go in.

Well you just described everything that SNAAAKE does.  You should find something more original and classic than that.

well im not a "classic" game guy.  i play pacman every now and then and donkey kong, but i grew up more playing stuff in the early 90's like street fighter and xmen and ninja turtles and stuff.  so i dont want an old classic look, i want a figther game look to it, cuz thats what i mostly play.  if thats not being original, im sorry.  i thought my cab was going to somewhat original since not many people make one.

ANYWAY, i guess ill talk to snaaake though since he can do this stuff.
