Analogue Super NT
« on: October 16, 2017, 09:54:21 pm »
Analogue opened a preorder for their FPGA SNES clone. Features are similar to their NES console, boasting lagless 1080p, 48KHz 16 bit stereo sound and a high range of game and accessory compatibility.

I wanted a nt mini so bad but snagged a nes classic and got drunk on the interface and save states.

Should be able to jailbreak this and run everything the nt mini does.

This is tempting at the price point.

The NES one made sense because it's difficult to get  a NES to display properly on a modern tv.  This one doesn't though.  The snes has native rgb out.... get yourself a scart cable and an inexpensive scart 2 hdmi adapter and you are good to go.  I did that with mine and it works great.   Also there's the SNES classic, which, if you don't care about running physical carts, is better all around.  And if you don't even want to fool with all of that, if your tv is old enough to still have s-video you are golden.

Or get yourself an OSSC and enjoy the good life. :lol

Seriously though, the OSSC is pretty rad. I put my Framemeister Mini into a drawer and decided if I don't need to take it out and hook up after a month, I'm getting rid of it. So far I'm on week 2 and it's still in the drawer.

Maybe if I sell the Framemeister I'll pick one of these up for poops and laughs.

It was tested with sd2snes.  Kevtris says it works.
