One quarter to play them all

Has anyone ever tried to play EVERY mame game?  That means all the different mods, all the mahjongs, etc.

What's a fair standard?  1 quarter for each game?  With a good faith effort at actually playing the game?

How long would it take?

Build a man a fire, he's warm for a night.  Set a man on fire, he's warm the rest of his life.

well i just calculated if you played every game for about 4 min on average, it would take about 300 hours. i figure some games youre good at so youll last maybe like 6-7+ min and some you will just suck at so 4 sounds about right. i can say ive played like 30% of the games.. most of them look crappy and boring though so the 30% ive played are all the ones that look fun to me

Out of the thousands of games that have been created, an awful lot of those were bootlegs or knockoffs of the good games, and the rest were just...awful.
