Mamehooker + I-Pac Ultimate I/O issues
« on: August 08, 2017, 10:42:24 pm »
Does someone know if the I-Pac Ultimate from Ultimarc works with Mamehooker ? I tried to light up some leds but the App tells me that there is no Ultimarc Device.
It's strange cause it works without issues with Ledblinky
 ???

Update:
The problem is resolved in the next version of Mamehooker, thanks to Howard Casto (...and his patience  ;)). Thanks also to Andy from Ultimarc for his assistance.

Hello @Headrush69 and @Moleburt.  My I-Pac Ultimate is also not being detected by Mamehooker 5.1.  Do either of you have a link to the version that fixes this issue?  I cannot find anything...

Edit:  Thank you Headrush69!  The modified mamehooker.exe and PacDrive32.dll solved the problem for me.

Edit 2:  You can download the modified mamehooker and PadDrve32.dll at the link below:

Same issue here - any idea where I can pickup the modified mh exe and correct PacDrive for the ultimate board?

Hello. I have the same problem. I have two I-pac Ultimate. I tried to light up some leds, but mamehooker tells me that there is no Ultimarc device. It works fine with Ledblinky.
Could you please help me with a modified mamehooker exe?

Thanks to Jaybomb999. With modified mamehooker.exe and PacDrive32.dll all works great.

Mamehooker works, but there are some problems. I have two ipad ultimate boards and a servo stick control board from ultimarc. Due to servostick, the second ipad board works as board3 and not board2. When you click on the Show supported device in mamehooker, the boards are not located, but they work in the test menu and games. The saddest thing is, after exiting mamehooker, the dll error error 6 appears and after the program sometimes does not work correctly. Has anyone faced such problems?

Mine is not working. I downloaded the last version from creator's web and no luck.
It does not show compatible devices and also is not working in test menu (tested every ID). Could you send me the modified version?
Many thanks in advance!

OMG you just saved me loads of headache, trying to figure out why my 2nd board was only working when plugged in by itself. At any rate it's still really annoying that the servo stik bumps the 2nd board to board3, it really screws with my settings :/

Update:
Well spoke too soon, idk what the hell I'm doing wrong. I downloaded the io version from above but beyond not seeing any devices I still cannot test any of the boards I tried devices 1 to 4. Is there a specific directory location this needs to be placed? Do the boards need to be in xinput mode? Any help is appreciated because I'm struggling here

Just starting to play with Mamehooker.  It does not see the Ultimate IPac in either of my cabinets as well.  :(

Has anyone managed to get this working? I'm having the same issues? I've tried the Mame Hooker in the MediaFire link a few posts up but it's still the same.

I have an Ultimate I/O and a LED64 on the same cab. The LED64 works fine (although it's controller 1 in MH and controller 2 in LEDBlinky) but the Ultimate I/O doesn't see to be detected?

Any help or a link to another MH version to try would be very much appreciated. :-)

Hi. Here is a link to a working ipac ultimate
mamеhooker that works for me.
https://www.mediafire.com/file/21omrzrlk3m4mpo/mamehooker.7z/file
Now I will tell you some unpleasant features of this version, and maybe not only this one. Sorry for my English) I have two ipac ultimate boards, as well as one servo stick control board from ultimarc. If I knew that this would bring me so much headache, I would have just bought several pacled64 boards.
1) The boards will still not be displayed when you click show supported devices, but they will work in test mode.
2) If you accidentally enter a non-existent board number in the commands (in my case, it is servo stick control board) and some error occurs, the program may not work until the next PC boot.
3) the program may also simply not work after the PC boot. I completely solved this problem by connecting the boards after booting the computer using a controlled USB hub and the ulk 2 and ulk 3 commands.
4) The LEDs will work in MAME, but after exiting and closing mamehooker, a DLL error 6 occurs and the program will stop working until the next PC reboot. There will be no error only if you run the game directly through MAME. If you use the command line or frontend, then there will be an error. Therefore, I do not use them in MAME, only when using Demulshooter (And you need the latest versions of demulshooter, otherwise after exiting, there will be a dll 6 error)
5) If you suddenly use Ledblinky, disable all outputs and delete mame.dll, otherwise nothing will work normally.
6) It is better to run both the emulator and mamehooker as administrator.
I would also like to add. If you have the opportunity and want to use mamehooker, buy other boards. I would gladly change them myself, but there is no possibility of delivery to my country(((

Thank you for the link and the benefit of your advice.

I get the impression there has been a LOT of trial and error in managing to compile all that knowledge!

I will have a think on the best way to approach this but, based on some of the problems you've described, I may just stick with LEDBlinky.

Many thanks for posting this info and all your help. :)
