8-Way Super joystick with Top Fire Button
« on: July 22, 2017, 04:36:48 am »
Installed this as a second joystick on my CP to try out with games like Tron, etc.
Finding it almost impossible to get this firing consistently in all directions, or I get that working and the fire micro-switch sticks in one direction.
Adjusted the angle of the metal leaf that the plunger pushes for the fire button loads and loads of time, but the tolerances seem very fine.
Anyone else had this problem?

The stick was really designed for claw machine applications. I have never been happy with it as a general stick.
Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.

I actually quite like the throw on it for dual joystick games like Robotron and Space Dungeon.
But the fire-button is not very good.
I might give Ultimarc's mini flight joystick a go as a second stick.
Was hanging back as I thought it would feel weird as the shape of it is so different to a standard joystick.
