Dual pinball flipper buttons layout question
« on: January 28, 2004, 07:37:54 am »
I know this is personal preference, and I will test fit something and try it out, it's also hard to explain, but I'll give it a shot.

A few pinball machine had upper and lower flipper buttons, so I want this on my desktop controller.

Assuming I mount the buttons on 1.5 inch centers at a 45-degree angle (relative to the top panel, which will be on about a 6-degree angle). . .

Should the upper button be toward the player and lower button be toward the backglass, or should the upper button be toward the backglass and the lower button be toward the player?

I would be interested in either knowing how a real machine was set-up, or how YOU set yours up, or even just a post saying it doesn't matter either way.

Thanks in advance!

I prefer having the upper buttons farther back.
It is alot easier to use dual flippers with your middle finger bent, than with your index finger bent--at least for me.
