Yet another trackball question
« on: January 28, 2004, 03:56:50 am »
I've seen some discussions about the Ultimarc, Wico and Happ trackballs but what about the one Bob Roberts sells? Atari Replacement TB Units Midi 3". How does it compare to the other three?

Anyone happen to know if it will work with a Happ mounting plate and if it's compatible with the USB Mouse Interface and Happ Trackball Harness that Oscarcontrols sell?

Not 100% sure, but close enough - - -

The Bob Roberts one IS the Happ controls one.  Bob sells mostly Happ stuff, and Happ bought the rights to Atari's controls a while back.

Now, the question is Happ has about 3 types of trackballs, so don't know whether this is high lip, or regular, or the third type, but I would guess standard.

Q2 - Should work with Happ mounting plate.  BR sells these also.

Q3 - Will work with www.oscarcontrols.com's interface.

Great. Thanks a lot!

Would you mind explaining the difference between those trackballs you mentioned? Are they suitable for different types of control panels (just guessing)? Bob also sells something called High-Ball and the first thing that sprung to my mind was an oval ball :)

UrebelScum has covered this in depth previously.  Do a search (maybe advanced search).
