« on: June 21, 2017, 03:01:53 pm »
having googled what are compatible, i have unzipped some roms and the have weird extensions that aren't on the list. specifically i downloaded breath of fire 3 and got a .cue, .img, .sub and a .ccd now i know that i need the cue and img, but what about the other two?? also same with spiderman the videogame for mame, it has a bunch of .ic files with numbers. whats the easiest way to get the right file types you need for the pi?

If I had these problems with retropie I would go to the retropie website and ask there, well it would be my first port of call.  File extensions are usually generic and if it is a PSX extension then there are lots of formats particular to the emulator you choose to use.  I had this problem with eboot file extensions I used when I ripped my PSX games (that I own) to the PSP and they work on retropie so go figure.  NES has files extensions too.

But since you asked, and it would be rude of me not to offer any help, here is the retropie wiki in typical Lord Ark fashion:

Also here is the video howto if you are having problems:

If I had only one wish, it would be for three more wishes.

Your best option is to create .PBP images which allow support for multi-CD PSX games to be easily playable in Retropie.

The procedure is:

1. Use a program that allows you to mount the .img file as a virtual disk. Search Google for one.

2. Use ImgBurn to convert the virtual disk to .iso

3. Use PSX2PSPv1.4.2 to convert .iso to .pbp
