I have been seing some WICO brand optical joysticks on ebay lately and wondered if those were easy to setup in a custom built cabinet?
Do they work the same way that the happ opticals do? Do those sticks have the same electrical needs at the happs?
In short, would i be able to hooke one of these up to an I-PAC and have all the requitements met ?
thanks,

GROOVY~ :D

Wico optical, or Wico rotary? I have never heard of a Wico optical stick, but the Wico rotary ones (I have one) are functionally identical to the SNK rotaries and have a better feel.

In general anything Wico pre-94 or so is gonna be top quality.

Yea, no joke, there have been two auctions on ebay that have had WICO OPTICAL 360 joysticks.
One auction had 2 of them with red ball tops that went for $71.00
That was the first ones i have ever seen or heard of, but i dont go looking either lol.

Hmmm, must be something I never heard of, or Wicos fitted with the perfect 360 refit kit?

That DOES look like the classic wico base, although it looks more like a Happs handle.

Probably some sort of OEM stick made by Wico for some specific game, and no longer produced. I wouldn't think they were current stock for Wico, else someone else would have mentioned them before now.

I wouldn't see how they would be any different than the Happs ones, probably has the same optics anyway.
