Shovel Knight co-op controls issue
« on: April 30, 2017, 08:50:04 pm »
I recently updated my shovel Knight on steam and there is now a co-op mode. I'm having problems getting the controls working.

I'm using an ipac 4 for my interface. I have no problems at all getting the single player game working perfectly with my arcade controls. However when I press the key to activate co-op mode, it asks me to hold a button on my controller for player 2, I press a button, it seems to accept it, then all of my controls fail to do anything and I have to alt+F4 to close the game.

I looked through the options, I don't see any way to define the controls for the second player.

Any ideas!

Shovel Knight, as far as I know, doesn't allow two players to play on the same keyboard. You can use either a keyboard and controller, or two controllers, but the input devices for player 1 and 2 must have unique id's. Since the Ipac 4 is registered as a single device, there isn't really any reliable way that I know of to have it register as two separate and unique devices.
