Ultimarc 2 1/4" Trackball
« on: January 26, 2004, 03:46:06 pm »
Anyone here have the Ultimarc 2 1/4" trackball?  How does it compare to a Happ 2 1/4" trackball?

Any other comments on it?

I have one installed and working.

Now that it's broken in, I think it's fantastic. (somewhere on this board somebody left some notes about how to break a trackball in, and it definately helped)

Sorry, can't compare it to happs, but I know I like it. It works like a champ, and I use it everyday, a few times a day. It's like being in an arcade, what can I say?

One nice thing is that the tolerance between the lip & the trackball is very tight.. so no pinched hands.

I can get a Ultimarc/Wico/Suzo-Trackball much more easier and cheaper  then the  2 1/4" Happ one - what did you do to break the trackball in?

Only found a link to Bob Roberts through the search-function.

I just wan't it to feel good and authentic for Centipede! :)

UrebelScum has used both and posted comparisons many times in the past.  You might try doing a search for posts by him.

Thanks, found that one.

hm, the Happs spins longer and is louder,
the Ultimarc spins shorter.

Though I'd say long spinning is cool & fun, it shouldn't be something needed for Centipede-gameplay  ???

Less noisier is always a good idea, too.

Always these decisions!
