  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
I have a bartop where one of the joystick switches wasn't great so I switched it out.i was very careful in not messing anything else up or so I thought. But when I went to test it the player one start button no longer works. I looked at it and it's still connected and it clicks and everything but it doesn't provide any indication it's doing anything. I opened up the mame control adjustments with TAB and that button doesn't do anything (it's tied to joystick button 7).

Any idea why it would stop responding entirely?

What are the buttons connected to? Ipac? Xen mo? Jamma?

Unplug and replug the connectors on the malfunctioning button.

...it was something between the control panel and bar stool :dunno

All jokes aside, we don't care if it was an honest mistake m8. Please don't leave us with a statement like that.
