  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
No activity on the Nicemite thread below since 2012...
Just wondering if this product is still a good idea compared to other solutions
to light up your translucent trackball.

Are you happy with your translucent trackball LED lighting solution?
What solution did you use?

  • I dare anything! I am Skeletor!
I use a GroovyGameGear RGB Overdrive board. I don't know if Randy sells those separate or not from his TB upgrade kit ($36.95) that includes a translucent trackball. But after 10 years it's still in great shape. Since it uses RGB lights I can change its colors and that is a nice feature.

I bought one. It was pretty awesome. I sold it when I sold my trackball, but if I were to get another trackball and wanted to light it, this would be the first thing I picked up.

The one I have from GGG has 4 lights and is bright enough I am planning on using it to replace the marquee bulb setup in my Space Encounters cabinet.

Lame game. Awesome cabinet.
