Need marquee lighting for mini cab

For my cell phone mini, the marquee area is small, say about 1x3.5 inches. The micro usb on my phone is being used to plug into my control interface. There's no other power in the cab. Any ideas how to light the marquee up? I'm researching led Keychain and book lights that use those small button batteries. I also wonder if I could get a small 2 port usb hub and have one used for interface and the other to light a usb led strip, or small reading light. Any thoughts?

Go to wal-mart, asda, whatever it is called in yor neck of your woods, and get one (or two) of those cheap $1 solar outdoor lights. That would give enough light and/or use a foil backing to bump up the brightness. Solar, so no batteries.

Could you not tap into the micro usb 5v supply (in parallel)? 5v LED light strips are really cheap and don't draw much current so I'm sure there will be enough Amps from the phone psu. They are what I've been using in my mini cabs.
