Unable to change controller ID on i-pac ultimate I/O board
« on: February 18, 2017, 12:11:02 pm »
All,

Has anyone successfully changed the controller ID on an i-pac ultimate I/O board from ultimarc?

I'm using the Pacled64 tool. I pick device 2, click Set controller id 2 then press the OK button, but nothing happens.

I go back to LEDBlinky control editor and it still wants to make my ultimate I/O board controller ID 1, which is the same ID as my Pacled64 board.

You can't change it. You'll need to email ultimarc to get specific firmware if you want to run 2+ UIO's on a system.

Best bet would be to change the standalone PACLED64 board to another ID.

For LedBlinky it is definitely no problem to operate two different devices like the UltimateIO and the PacLed64 together with the same ID, only two equal devices would exclude each other ! In my Vpin I currently have one UltimateIO (ID 1) and two PacLed64 (ID 1 and 2).

And Scotty_C is right, for operating two UltimatIO devices together, you need a special firmware from Ultimarc.
