Making a Tron Stick
« on: January 22, 2017, 01:26:31 pm »
I've gathered up a few components for a Tron stick and I'm getting ready to purchase the Happ Heavy-Duty 8-way.  The only caveat I see with this is that the shaft is bent.  The original Tron stick shaft is straight.  Will this be a problem (in terms of play/feel) or should I be looking to replace the bent shaft with a straight one?

If so, anyone know a source?

Bumping this and adding a question:
If I can't find one to buy, I can machine one (I think).  Anyone have dimensions they would be willing to share?

Thanks!

Actually wondering the same thing myself.  I would like to use the original Tron straight shaft along with the modern under pinnings of the Happ 8-way heavy duty stick. Basically, have it look factory from outside the cab. And to take it a step further would like to incorporate the ServoStik too that way I could play 4-way and 8-way games properly. I know the ServoStik can be done, I read the thread on that, but haven't found anyone combine the Tron and Happ sticks yet, at least the way we envision it.
