Thinking about a cell-phone cab build
« on: January 08, 2017, 11:31:53 am »
I've got a couple of old smartphones lying around, and thought it'd be cool to have one of them be a little micro-cabinet - cool little novelty. I thought I'd find more of these that had been made, but I've found most opt for going slightly larger with a 7" tablet and those examples are a few years old. For now, I'd like to stick with a phone, and just use the existing screen for display. Kind of like the Arcadie. Small controls don't appear to be horribly difficult to find. My question is, what would you use for the control interface if you were building one? I have a 8bitdo Zero, but the traces are too small to do a viable hack...
