Help with multiple hit switches
« on: January 07, 2017, 12:36:52 pm »
I finally got around restoring my mame cabinet which has been dead for a year or so.

Got it working with new components but I got some problem with the controls. Almost all of them register several hits each time.

They are connected to the PC via a JPAC.

It happens on both leaf- and microswitch controls. I have cleaned the leafs and checked all cabling.
All switches are connected to a common ground from the JAMMA connector.

Using keyboard test I can see the extra hits mostly happen when I release the switch. The multiple hits are reported between 60-120ms after release which seem to long to be a debouncing problem.

Any ideas what I should look for?
