Does I-PAC2 support multimouse for trackball AND spinner use?
« on: January 06, 2017, 07:52:44 am »
Greetings all,

My control panel has both a trackball (U-Trak) and spinner (SpinTrak) that are directly attached to a new I-Pac2. I enabled multimouse in MAME, but both these devices show up as the same mouse in the MAME control settings (MOUSE_2, I believe). My computer mouse shows up as a different mouse (MOUSE_1) so it seems the multimouse setting is working.
What I'm wondering is, does the I-PAC have the ability to set the spinner and trackball as different devices?
Using Mala as the frontend if that is relevant.
Thanks!

Still searching for the answer to this issue. Certainly someone has installed a spinner and trackball on an I-Pac2? If so, were you able to configue them to be different inputs? In case I'm not clear, since the spinner and trackball are recognized as the same mouse input,  during MAME gameplay accidentally hitting one or the other will move your character. Having the ability to have them recognized as different devices would solve this issue.
I suppose I can get a USB adapter for one and not use the I-Pac, but obviously that's not ideal.
I'll email Andy directly if I don't get an answer from this board in the next couple of days...
Thanks
