Will a vertical CRT work with light guns + CRT compatability
« on: November 29, 2016, 12:16:19 am »
It may sound dumb but if I lay a CRT on its side, will a light gun still accurately detect where Im shooting?

Plus, will a Sony KV-32HS510 work with light guns?
I know some of the newer CRTs wont work with them but I havent found any info yet on how to tell

Thanks

TOTALLY depends on the lightguns you're going to use. I can't think of any vertical lightgun shooters, though.

Well, if there is any external positioning device (IR leds etc.) that has to be re-orientated as well... If it is based on CRT synchronisation it wouldn't be any difference.
In what context did you get to this question?

As far as I know you get problems with never CRT's if they are 100Hz and other stuff that messes up the timings.
