HAPP 3" Illuminated Trackball

Hey folks, I am using a 3" illuminated HAPP trackball. I've noticed when the cabinet has been switched on for a while but stood idle that the ball gets hot on the underside and seems to stick a little when in use - not hugely but is noticable. Anyone else experienced this problem?
