360* joystick and silver handle question
« on: January 21, 2004, 02:04:26 pm »
Hey had a quick question due to a unforseen problem in a cabinet build (we all dread the stupid unforseen problem).  Anyways  I got my 360* joystick and silver handle from slickstick.  What came in the package of the slickstick handle was the handle and a new spring.  So I thought the installation was going to be really intuitive.

But when I installed the spring and re-screwed in the joystick.  I slipped in the silver handle following the happ's diagram for installation.   It just didn't fit right.

I guess what my question comes down to.  Has anyone installed the 360* joystick with silver handle successfully, if so can give me a good direction on how to do it?

or is there a picture tutorial somewhere on the internet?

Thanks for your time guys

-Austin

By "silver handles" I'm assuming that you're talking about the stainless steel ones.

If you look at the exploded view of the P360 assembly, they tell you to use the .500" bushing.

If you are using a stainless handle, the bushing is not required. It's only for the stock P360 handle.

I also found that the spring that came in the P360 was just as strong or stronger than the loose spring.
