Swapping Jamma PCB's without unplugging the machine?

Potenitally stupid question, but there it is

Is it ok to swap 1990 and newer Jamma PCB's without unplugging the machine? Just by turning it off with the power switch?

I've unplugged it every time I've switched boards so far, but the outlet is NOT easy to reach, while the power switch is VERY easy to reach.

As long as you turn the cabinet off, you're okay.  On my multi-jamma machine, I just use the switch. No need to unplug.

Multijamma is my 1-2 year plan, just don't have the money for it right now I mounted the jamma boards on plywood so I can swap them out without any screwing or unscrewing, and molex'ed all the additional button harnesses, so it's a pretty painless process right now.

Hey did you think of using that switch from www.twobits.com so you can play 2 jamma boards in one cab or is this something that you are going to be connecting on your own. I have a 4 player main event cabinet that I am making into a "Sports JAM-MA "Game . So far I have hit the ice bottom of the ninth and now I want a football and maybe a basketball game

I just recently emailed you about buying and pickinking up one of your dvds.  I live in Methuen, MA and my ebay name is gumcollector.I wish you had TMNT on that disc
