[USA - NC - Raleigh/Apex] Assorted Arcade Machine & Components
« on: November 07, 2016, 09:54:34 am »
Due to life conditions I need to let go of a bunch of arcade projects and parts I've been hanging on to for some time. I don't really have set prices or anything, I figure local folks get first opportunity to swing by and play "American Pickers" in my arcade stuff so I know it's going to a good home, and hopefully make a fair offer for it.

Off the top of my head some of the items I know are in the mix are... assorted boards/board sets include complete Joust board set, Multi-williams conversion kit (incl. CP, sideart), DK3, DK Jr, Time Killers, Centipede, Crystal Castles, a few others I can't remember right now. Cabinets include Atari Football, Time Pilot upright, Dig Dug upright, Space Zap upright, two Tron uprights, Simpsons 4P upright, Capcom Big Blue Super Street Fighter II CE, Defender upright, Return of the Jedi upright, Pac-Man upright, and one or two others. Parts include classic leaf buttons, sticks, a few NIB VisionPro & Wells-Gardner CRTs, and other assorted what not. Most of the machines work(ed) but needed cap kits (Defender is fully functional, I prob should give it a dusting and list it for $800, but *shrug*), a few are big ???.

Anyway, I'm a remote worker/teleworker so am home 99% of the time, so scheduling some time to come by and see the stuff should be relatively easy, just reach out/e-mail me through boards. I'll update the post with a few pictures shortly.

Can you PM me your number please?  I am interested in some items specifically the Dig Dug, Defender, and your boxed monitors.  I will be flying into Raleigh to drive the last truck from Zebulon to San Antonio the first week of December (just moved my parents to Texas).  I can arrange payment in advance of the trip if needed.

I just wanted to provide an update since I have heard from several of you. I've received several questions, some of which I can answer now, others I need to go take a look to get the specifics. Picked up some head cold/bug which has me loopy at the moment, but I did want to get some of the questions I reveived answered.

On the Capcom big blue... it does have some of the boards in it, but I believe the cartridge in it was a Marvel vs Capcom, and not the SSF2CE represented by the marquee. It does not have its monitor.
The Time Pilot appears complete, original parts, fire button is removed from the control panel, but the button is present (I assume prev owner was replacing the switch), I did also notice that the CRT had the yoke broken in shipping, so I plan to include one of the NIB CRT's I have with it so it remains complete for a restoration, instead of being parted down for MAME.
MVS .. I know there's one or two cartridges kicking around, one is certainly top players golf, but I would have to find the others to know exactly what they were.
Dig Dig is complete, nothing broken that I'm aware of, but the monitor did need a cap kit a decade ago (the last time I plugged most of these machines in for testing)
Star Castle was working great before I moved it up from GA, something shook loose in the transit which I haven't had time to look at. This one I am tempted to try and hang on to, but, well, life issues.
Defender was working solid a few months ago when I fired it up for my Son's birthday, currently it just needs a cleaning due to the nature of sheet rock dust from remodeling nearby rooms in the house.

I'm still at a point where the volume of stuff overflowing this place from clearing out my dad's house after he passed is a bit overwhelming, so it's a bit of work to even get to anything.

I won't need/want payment in advance on any of this, with everything else going on it will just be pay at time of sale. When you're here you're welcome to fiddle with/test whatever.... I am just assuming anything not picked up by someone here will go to craigslits/ebay for it's final disposition.

I'm sure I'm forgetting something on these cold meds, but will try to get more details this weekend. If there's something you want more photos/whatever of let me know.

Thanks all.

Just had a good visit from DudeRanger. He took the Simpsons project, Joust Boardset, and the boxes of leaf buttons and sticks off my hands, and took a look at a lot of the other items, so feel free to get his input on any of the items as well. Just looking to move this stuff out, so whatever seems fair price wise is OK with me.

Thanks again!

@BigCurtiss, I'm working on bringing a Defender cab back to life. I just sent the badly corroded cpu board off for repair. If you wind up having defender parts lying around I'll happily buy them!

Got any 19" monitors?

All the box monitors are 19"... 2-3 each of VisionPro and WG - no larger monitors.

I'll try and get some additional pictures of the big blue several of you are asking after - it's a bit rainy here today, so likely tomorrow before I shuffle things again to do that. It does have Marvel vs Capcom board in it, DudeRanger & I tried powering it up, but no monitor in the unit, so other than the sound of the electronics powering up, I don't have any further insight into the overal functionality of what's in the big blue. Right now the number is $200, DudeRanger almost grabbed it, but opted for the 4P Simpsons instead - not looking for a bidding war, so that's where the number will stay, and does include a NoS diamondplate CPO decal, but it is a matter of the first to get it out of my garage.

Here's an older face on pic of the cabinet:

How much do you want for the monitors?

And out of curiosity, what's your price on the boardset for defender?

You know, after seeing VisionPro's and other 19" CRT's listed for upwards of $800 on ebay this morning (seriously, wth, ppl pay that much?) I guess $300 each for the monitors NiB/NoS? I'll double check how many of each I've left.
