  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
There is a 27" LED 1080p monitor available local to me for sale on Craigslist, but the casing is WHITE.

My problem is that my entire arcade cabinet is black, but I planned on doing the "spray paint the inside of the plexiglass with black spray paint" and then covering the the LED TV with the spray painted plexiglass bezel.

Do you think I will be forced to do the "de casing" routine because the white surrounding case around the TV will be visible, even
with the black spray painted plexiglass bezel covering the entire area of the TV casing?

Edit: I just thought of a solution in addition to this.
I could remove the casing then spray paint the casing black if need be then put the casing back on.
But if I remove the remove the casing to do this, then why would I bother putting the casing back on?
Who the hell takes a casing off only to put it back on?  Lol.  :D :laugh2:

Could always tape off the monitor screen and spray the casing - no need to remove the casing  :dunno - or buy a small bottle of model paint and a small brush and paint the casing that way rather than spray.

Use black electrical or duct tape. With the black painted bezel included you'll never see it.

You're using an LCD. Does it really matter about the bezel?

I de-bezeled my screen. Taped it off and spray painted the metal cast black.
Mount monitor. Marked off plexi and sprayed the back plexi black as well.
You can never have spray enough black!
