Lcd-range Option
« on: October 11, 2016, 05:01:57 pm »
Hi All,

Have recently changed my LCD display to an HP LP2065. This is a great monitor that properly supports a wide range of refresh rates. I tested the display using a radeon card and GroovyArcade. Switchres reported the correct refresh rate, and games such as MK, R-Type and Tatsujin have smooth scrolling at the native screen resolution of 1600x1200. I achieved this just setting the LCD range as 50-65 in the mame.ini file.

I would like to achieve the same results under windows 7 so I can use HLSL vector effects. Is there a simple way of generating the correct modelines for the driver in VMMaker and then using the lcd-range function in the mame.ini file?

Regards

Rob
