Leland Corp. Super Off-Road is frozen with random image
« on: October 11, 2016, 08:15:21 am »
Recently I purchased a Leland Corp. Super Off-Road Arcade Game equipped with what I believe is a WG K7000 monitor.
Before I purchased the unit and a couple of times after I purchased the unit, the game worked as it should.
Since then, when I turn the unit on, the monitor displays a frozen random image.
There is no sound or motion from the unit.
Aside from loose connections, if someone would be able to provide me with some items to check it would be helpful.
Thanks,
Ben

looks like a game board issue. dirty ram socket connection or maybe CPU.

pry up all the socketed chips a little bit and then push them back down. you don't need to remove it... just enough the creak them out and back in is enough to get a good connection again.

while you are at it, remove the board edge connector and clean the "fingers" with a pencil eraser.

check your voltage in the power supply on the game board. your 5 volts should at about 5.1.

Thank you so much for your help lilshawn!
I pried-up and pushed-down each socketed chip on both main boards, checked each harness connector and tightened each ground.
Turn the machine on and she works like a dream!
Thanks again!
