Daytona USA Force Feedback?
« on: September 29, 2016, 01:08:47 am »
I've decided to take the challenge and look at doing a driving cab (or twin cab if I can get one working well!).  I've bought a Logitech G27 wheel and got Model2 Emulator running ok.  The force Feedback works but seems to only really kick in when you hit a car, go off road or bump a wall.  I remember in the arcade having to fight with the wheel even when on a straight or cornering without hitting anything.  Should that type of effect be working or is it just not as evident in the emulator??

Also is Chequered flag the easiest and best Driving Front End to use with a wheel?

Most people turn up the effects in the cfg file.

As for a front-end, I dunno.  I use Mala which is outdated and haven't taken the time to try Checkered Flag.

Thanks for the info.  I'll adjust those settings in my ini and see what happens!  Also I just looked at your custom racing build and was very impressed.  That is pretty much the same basic sort of setup I want to achieve, except with an LCD and a G27 wheel.  Great write up on your build.  That custom dash panel looks pretty darn good and gives me confidence to do similar. :)
