Help with two identical usb encoders
« on: September 07, 2016, 07:39:30 pm »
Setting up a 4 player mame cabinet. Bought 2x xinmo encoders but the raspi mame recognises them as the same controller. So when i move player 3 it moves player 1. Any ideas on a fix or someone willing to trade a few xinmos for a 4 player encoder?

I could trade 4x xinmo for 1 4 player encoder.

Thanks!

Et tu, CoryBee?

C'est moi!

Had started a little business selling arcades and then took a break for a while, then built a few to pay a dentist with to have my face hole updated.  ;D

I always suggest joy to key for the Xin mo. It's easier to just use keystrokes than using them as game controllers. Then in your front end or in Windows just have joy to key launch on startup (minimized of course). In your frontend and in your emulators use a keyboard to define the inputs so it doesn't get confused and your good to go. (But now that I just typed all that they are both going to show up the same in joy to key.. but I think you can rename the individual Xin mo so that they can be mapped separately. Just don't unplug them after)
