The Saturn lightgun games come to mind; Virtua Cop 1+2, House of the Dead, obviously - but you're far better off just using the Model 2 Emulator for those. Higher quality graphics, framerate, gameplay, etc.

Don't bother, you aren't going to find much that is both arcade friendly and doesn't have a superior version available.
Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.

All the arcade ports released in Japan would be cab-friendly. But as paige said, you aren't getting the best available ports of those games ...

I'll feed the echo chamber. What they said^

I mean there are some exceptions, like Guardian Heroes  and Dragon Force but GH is on steam and DF is better played while sitting on a couch.

I would suggest skipping the Saturn as well. I promise you won't play any of those games as you will probably be playing better version of the games in mame or other consoles.

GH is on steam. Nice!

The SS has lots of great games but as ever one else posted, for an Arcade setting passing is a good idea.

The one Saturn game I've played on my arcade setup is Three Dirty Dwarves.  It's a 3 player beat em up. It can be challenging but it was fun.

There's Blast Wind by Technosoft (who did Thunderforce etc.)

it was *meant* to be an arcade game (most likely on the same hardware as Hyper Duel) but the Arcade release was scrapped, leaving only the Saturn release.  Since the Saturn is technically better hardware it's probably better than the arcade release would have been anyway.

it doesn't run on MAME (the Tecmosoft stuff uses the Saturn hardware in some unusual ways) although if you're using original hardware that won't bother you

The only reason I'd want a Saturn game on my setup is because of "Radiant Silvergun".  And although I did get the emulation working (can't recall which emulator, but it was in all Japanese), I could not get the input working right.  So I scrapped it.

well , now I feel like I need to defend the Saturn!

If you have one, its a great system, especially the Japanese CPS2 ports and the Virtua Cop and Fighter games. Fighters MegaMix is also pretty great. If you couldnt play the arcade arcade games via MAME then it'd be a shoe in to emulate.

Yes, I haz a Saturn (cause no one wanted to buy it :(   )

I had a Saturn, bought it new when it was $150 and came with Virtua Fighter 2, Daytona, and Virtua Cop.  That was along the lines of best deal ever for a new system. (and it seems like it came with a coupon or another loose game when I bought it)

Had a ton of games and imports.  99% of what was worth playing was an arcade port.  Most of the good ones have either been emulated or rereleased in superior versions.

since emulated entails MAME, here are the non arcade ports you can only play on Saturn. If any of these were re-released and are better, feel free to correct me. Im getting old and my memory isnt what it used to be.

Dragon Force (Saturn version is better than the PS2 port IMO)
Fighters Megamix (game.com port doesnt count!)
Burning Rangers
Albert Odyssey:Eldean
Battle Monsters (great concept, terrible execution)
the Clockwork Knight games (good but not great)
Legend of Oasis
Shining Wisdom
Shining the Holy Arc
Magic Knight Ray Earth
Panzer Dragoon Saga
the Shinobi game was a bit of all right.

I like RPGs so YMMV.

Honorable Mentions:
Guardian Heroes: I incorrectly said it was on steam up there^  , its actually on xbox live (360) online multiplayer is the only thing making it better than the Saturn version (well no load times either).
Virtua Cop 1 & 2: While the arcade versions are emulated , the ease of use with the Saturn light guns and a CRT TV make it the better choice.
House of the Dead : Same as above, and I actually sold this game for like $100 a few years ago.
RayForce/Galactic Attack : There a  windows port, Saturn version is best
MegaMan 8: Almost the exact same game as the playstation version, but has a couple extra boss fights.

Made a lot of money on Panzer Dragoon Saga.....

The Shinobi game was actually pretty good.

Have never, ever laid eyes on a copy of Burning Rangers.

Did someone say "Radiant Silvergun".

Just use the real hardware!

Die Hard and Radiant Silvergun both work on Sega's STV cartridge system.

$25 at auction with a cartridge error. I am now into it for $285 altogether and $230 of that was the STV multicart.

Best part is that the general collecting community isn't really aware that there is a multikit available for those Die Hard cabinets so they still sell really cheap.

I also can't believe the guy giving one away stole the coin mechs off it. Should have just left them on and charged $10 for the cabinet instead.

Yeah I played that Cotton Boomerang at Zapcon, very fun and the cabinets pretty light.

I'm going to get ant STV board one day, I love me some Shienryu.
