But my 8-ways were not acting like 8 ways, so I broke out the schematic and it appeared that I did not have the square actuator for my Ultimate 8 way.  It just had the round one.

Is there something I am missing, or did maybe Bob Roberts forget to put it in?

Should have some pics up soon, I hope.

Do you have the parts shown in the exploded view on Happs:

It shows both a 4-way and 8-way actuator.

I'm still a noob to all of this, but did you get any actuator at all? The Happs I got you just flip the actuator upside down to use the 8-way.

Believe it or not it took me a while to figure that out :/

Yeah I'm a pretty dumb kid   :-[

It's probably different than yours though, so I'm just going to shut up now :P

Well I thought about that and took the Joystick completely apart and it did not appear as if that was supposed to be flipped.

And I had nothing that looked like a square.  Unless flipping piece between the spring and the bottom was what I was supposed to do.

It sounds like gprime has the Happs Super joystick which does have a flippable actuator instead of 2 seperate ones.

Well I figured out my problem, I am an idiot.  No surprise there eh.

Anyway, I have two supers and one ultimate.

The ultimate is what sucks badly, the spring never returns the joy back to center, so that sucks.

And the problem with the Supers, well this idjut forgot to even put the hourglass part at the bottom.  So that is the reason they were not working well.

Beleive it or not, I DID THE SAME DAMN THING!!! lol.  I never knew that you could do that with the happ supers until someone on the forum here told me! I was very embarrased lol.   I have found that even in the 4 way mode, that the supers dont act like a 4 way. I can still do eight way moves, its just not as responsive.  Sometimes the supers make me wonder if there isn't a better stick for me, as when i am playing street fighter or mortal kombat, it seems like i can't quite pull off the moves like i feel i should be able to.  I was pretty good at street fighter 2 back in the day and really there were only 2 guys at the local bowling alley who could beat me and i remember how to pull off the moves, but the joysticks  just feel odd sometimes.  *SHRUG* maybe its just me.   I seem to be getting pretty particular about stuff as im ageing (im only 33 lol) and maybe im just getting to picky lol.
