Frosting Japanese pushbuttons for LED use?
«

Hello!
Long story short: I'm interested in building a fancy-pant arcade panel for my cabinet that has light-up LED buttons. I adore the look of the frosted white LED buttons that Ultimarc (ClassicRGB) and GGG (Electric Ice) sell, but I really like and prefer the feel of Japanese pushbuttons. I haven't been able to find any Sanwa or Seimitsu buttons in frosted white plastic, though Seimitsu does make the PS-14-KN pushbuttons in clear plastic.
After a bit of searching I discovered this product that will "frost" anything you spray it on:
http://www.homedepot.com/p/Rust-Oleum-Specialty-11-oz-Frosted-Glass-Spray-Paint-1903830/100195608
It's basically spray-on "frosted glass". I bet you can see where I'm going with this...
I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with this sort of modification, or if this whole idea is terrible.
Thanks in advance!

You can get self adhesive, frosted sheets, too. Take the button apart and stick it on top of the plunger.
