In general there are "Horiz Position", "Horiz Hold", and "Horiz raster shift".

On a Kortek monitor the Horizontal Hold, Horizontal Sub Position, and Horizontal position all interact with each other. Try Horiz hold first to rough center the picture then use the horiz position and horiz sub position. If you still can't get the picture centered properly then you need to install a cap kit as the caps have drifted too far off value for the controls to compensate for.

It should lock right in and stay locked in each time you power up. Since it's not doing that then you need a capkit. Chances are yours hasn't had one. Call Zanen Electronics at (806) 829-2780 and order one.
