HAPP 3" Illuminated Trackball Problems
« on: July 19, 2016, 11:53:21 am »
Hi Folks, I "thought" my control panel build was complete but Im having problems with my 3" HAPP trackball sticking. Its new (although its been in a box for ~9 months) and seems to stick when it get warm (as it will as its illuminated). Has anyone seen this before? Ive slackend off the screws attaching it to its plate which helps a little - but its still really bloody annoying.

Anyone got any ideas? Is it me or is it the trackball?

I used to see this regularly with 2.1/4", but not so much these days. The trackballs had a 'lumpy' feel to the bearings as you rolled them.

Here's my guide if you wanted to fix it...
