Hi all - I'm setting up my system and have run into some wiring questions that have me (a general wiring noob) pretty stumped -- hoping you guys might be able to help. Thank you!
My gear:
* 2 x Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT joysticks w 5-pin wiring harness cables (link:
www.focusattack.com/5-pin-wiring-harness/* 12 x Ultimarc Goldleaf action buttons
* 6 x Seimitsu PS-14-DN-C admin buttons
* 2 x 10 Connection 22 AWG .110" Ground Daisy Chain Wire (link:
www.focusattack.com/10-connection-22-awg-110-ground-daisy-chain-wire]
* 1 x IPAC2 encoder
My issue:
I have 5-pin wiring harness cables connected to each of my 2 Sanwa JLF joysticks. Those harnesses each have a black ground wire.
I have one of the 10-connection daisy chain wiresets daisy chained across my player 6 player 1 action buttons + 3 player 1 admin buttons.
Similarly my other 10-connection daisy chain wires is daisy chained across my player 2 buttons.
Between the two 5-pin wiring harnesses and two 10-connection daisy chain wires, I have four ground wires. But only two ground wire slots on the IPAC. So right now the joysticks are registering fine and none of the buttons are registering.
.
My question:
If I connect those joysticks' ground wires (2 in total) to the IPAC, I have no remaining ground slots on the IPAC to connect the ground wire(s) from the daisy chains I've set up between by action and admin buttons.
How do I connect my two remaining ground wires so that my buttons are recognized by the IPAC? Do I need to connect them to each other or somehow integrate them into the daisy chain?
thanks!
