Game Elf 412-in-1 Won't Exit Games to Start Screen
« on: July 05, 2016, 05:39:23 pm »
Hey everyone!  I am new to the craft of arcade modding, and I've been able to get everything to work on my new JAMMA PCB, except one stupid thing...  When I enter a game and start playing it, I am supposed to press and hold the player 1 button for 3 seconds to return to the main screen.  I have tried everything I can think of, but the screen to exit the game does not show up!  I have to manually power down my machine (hit the off switch on the power strip) and then boot it back up to play a different game.  :banghead: A real pain in the rear... Does anyone have any ideas why this may be happening?  I would be most grateful for any help!  :dunno:

The JAMMA harness should have a Reset or Service switch. If you attach a button to this, it will have the same effect as pressing the little black Reset button on the board.

This is how I did mine. I'd try that. One quick press of it and you're back to the game select. I never use the three-second Start button thing.
