Sega Rally Championship FFB centering problems
« on: June 19, 2016, 11:28:44 pm »
In Model 2 Emulator, Sega Rally's force feedback is pushing my steering wheel to the left no matter what parameters I set in the ini file. Instead of centering my wheel, it's pushing it to the left at all times. It's like one half of the center spring is working and the other half is dead.

Any ideas?

Daytona USA and Indy 500 are working perfectly.

Post your ini file.

OK here's the ini file from xinput onwards.

Code: [Select]

[Input]
XInput=0 ;Enable support for Xbox360 compatible devices
EnableFF=1 ;Enable Force Feedback Effects
HoldGears=0 ;Set to 1 to return to Neutral in driving games when the gear shift key is released
UseRawInput=0 ;Read mouse through Rawinput, allowing 2 mice
RawDevP1=0 ;Assign specific RawInput devices to players. If you have more than 2 mice
RawDevP2=0 ;set which one is assigned to each player (0-based)

;FORCE EFFECTS PARAMETERS
;FE_CENTERING Effect (Spring centering effect)
FE_CENTERING_Gain=0.5      ;Global gain
FE_CENTERING_Coefficient=2000   ;0-10000
FE_CENTERING_Saturation=2000   ;0-10000
FE_CENTERING_Deadband=10   ;10%

;FE_CLUTCH Effect (Friction, wheel turn hardness)
FE_CLUTCH_Gain=0.2      ;Global gain
FE_CLUTCH_Coefficient=3000   ;0-10000

;FE_LEFT,FE_RIGHT (Constant force in a direction)
FE_LEFT_Gain=0.5      ;Global gain
FE_LEFT_Magnitude=10000   ;0-10000
FE_RIGHT_Gain=0.5      ;Global gain
FE_RIGHT_Magnitude=10000   ;0-10000

I've tried experiementing with different values and putting the FE_LEFT and FE_RIGHT values at opposite Max Gain and Magnitude values away from each other, and tried adjusting the centering spring gain and increasing and decreasing it's values. No luck, same crap :(  :banghead:

Yeah, even in the game and on the track the FFB pushes the wheel to the left. I remember it being funky with my ECCI wheel but I don't think it ever pushed to the left and gave me half a spring.
