Rowe R-85 Magazine Problem....
« on: June 13, 2016, 05:06:42 pm »
I've had a Rowe R-85 Jukebox for a few years now. I unplugged for a while, went to turn it on and the magazine won't turn. The mag motor is the only light that comes on. It sounds like it's getting power, but won't turn. It will freely turn manually, so it's not locked up. Also, the number 100 keeps displaying on the LCD unless you switch it to service mode, then it will display the selection entered, but won't play. Had zero issues before this...is there a way to test the motor or is that even it? Thanks...

Hi Sabian,

First of check that you have all three power supply (junction box) led's lit.

If they are all lit you can test the voltages on the Molex plug that you are getting the three power rails correctly, check at the service switch and finally at the Molex plug going into the lefthand side of the mechanism.

If all is correct then I would have your set of boards checked out. If you can not find a Rowe Ami service centre in your country, you can snd them to us for us for testing/repair. We always ask for the following boards:-

Central Control Computer (CCC) Rowe Ami 6-08870-01 (the revsion number can be up to -06)
Mechanism Control Rowe Ami 4-07221-02 ( the revision number can be up to -03)
Pricing Board Rowe Ami 6-08878-01 (the revision number can be up to -05)

On EBay you can use our board repair service or send direct to us, we have worldwide customers.

Regards
Alan
